Notava today announced the addition of Dr. Kari Hjelt as advisor. In his role, Kari will advise Notava on the development and implementation of its growth strategy, with a special focus on the funding of the next phase of the growth. With this arrangement Notava gets access to years of experience in venturing and innovation processes and to a vast network of venturing professionals.

Kari works currently as Director, Research Innovations at Nokia. During his career at Nokia he has been establishing several ventures at Nokia Ventures Organization and ramped up two research laboratories at Nokia.

Notava is a technology and solution company founded in 2009. In addition to its employees, Notava's core asset consists of the uAxes Platform enabling generic brokering based resource access provisioning. Notava markets and sells uAxes based WiFi Offloading solution that makes full use of the platform. The product helps operators to turn the mobile data congestion from a threat into a lucrative business opportunity. Notava is headquarted in Tampere Finland, with additional offices Helsinki Finland and Tokyo Japan.

Notava and Igua Networks announce integration of uAxes offloading solution with Igua’s broadband network. The successful trial showcased the capability of uAxes to ease cellular network capacity problem by multiplexing data traffic to existing Igua’s broadband network in a managed way.

Notava's successful uAxes product launch gained a lot of interest at the Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona. Leading operators and infrastructure vendors were impressed of the on-site demonstration, which showed live data off-loading from the 3G cellular network to the local Wi-Fi network. Demonstration consisted of a prototype uAxes server solution and a uAxes SW client in a commercial Linux-based handset doing web browsing during the demonstration. Overall, uAxes maturity proved to be amongst the highest in the World.

Notava Inc announces novel uAxes solution for operators to manage own and third party WiFi networks to enable data offloading from the overloaded 2/3G networks. The lean solution consists of portable software client and fast to deploy network servers.
